In short
- Rumour: "Wanted" posters showing Monkey D. Luffy, Portgas D. Ace, Jonesy and Hope have reportedly been spotted on a wall in Soho, London.
- Rumour: a second set, reportedly found in Akihabara, Tokyo, adds Buggy, Oscar and Cuddle Team Leader.
- Confirmed: One Piece is coming to Fortnite in the Treasure Hunters mini season, teased for 1 November. Epic hasn't named any skins yet.
Somebody has put a price on Jonesy's head. Wanted posters mixing One Piece pirates with Fortnite favourites have reportedly turned up on the streets of London and Tokyo, just days before the Treasure Hunters mini season begins.
If they're real, they could be our first look at the One Piece skins coming to Fortnite. Here's every poster found so far, what the bounties might be hiding, and how sure we can be.
Where were the posters found?
The first set was shared on Reddit by u/NeutroGD, who says they photographed four posters on a wall in Soho, London, on their lunch break on 26 October, as Beebom reported.
Each poster carries a PEGI 12 rating and the Fortnite and One Piece logos side by side, the same way official game adverts are printed in the UK.
Soon after, a second batch of posters, reportedly from Akihabara in Tokyo, started doing the rounds, according to Techtroduce. That's Japan's famous anime and gaming district, which would be a fitting place for Epic to tease a One Piece collab.
Every One Piece wanted poster so far
| Character | From | Bounty on the poster | Spotted |
|---|---|---|---|
| Portgas D. Ace | One Piece | ฿550,000,000 | London |
| Monkey D. Luffy | One Piece | ฿100,000,000 | London |
| Buggy | One Piece | ฿15,000,000 | Tokyo (reported) |
| Hope | Fortnite | ฿10,032,023 | London |
| Oscar | Fortnite | ฿10,032,023 | Tokyo (reported) |
| Jonesy | Fortnite | ฿7,252,017 | London |
| Cuddle Team Leader | Fortnite | ฿2,102,018 | Tokyo (reported) |
The bounties are in berries (฿), One Piece's own money. The One Piece characters carry bounties fans will recognise from the series: 550 million for Ace, 100 million for Luffy and 15 million for Buggy, his very first bounty.
Are the bounties hiding secret dates?
This is where it gets fun. The Fortnite characters' bounties don't look like random numbers.
Our theory: Jonesy's bounty, 7,252,017, reads like 25 July 2017 written the American way (7/25/2017). That's the day Fortnite first launched. It would be a perfect fit for the game's original default skin.
Hope and Oscar share exactly the same bounty, 10,032,023, and Cuddle Team Leader's is 2,102,018. They look like dates too, but we haven't matched them to anything yet. Spotted what they mean? Email us and we'll credit you if you crack it.
Is Usopp coming to Fortnite?
Possibly. Usopp isn't on any of the posters found so far, but well-known leaker HYPEX has claimed he'll be part of the mini season, and Beebom says he can be seen "vaguely" on the posters, as Beebom reported.
That makes the teased One Piece line-up so far Luffy, Ace and Usopp, with Buggy joining them if the Tokyo posters are real. Epic hasn't confirmed any of them.
Are the posters real?
We can't confirm it yet, and it's worth being careful:
- For: the PEGI ratings, official logos and printed-poster style look like real UK advertising, and the timing lines up with Epic's own Going Merry teaser, as Outputlag reported.
- Against: some Reddit users questioned parts of the artwork and asked whether it could be AI-made or fan-made. The photographer stood by their photos and offered to go back for more.
On balance, the evidence leans towards these being real Epic adverts, but until Epic shows the skins in game or on its own channels, treat them as a rumour.
What we do know
One Piece is officially coming to Fortnite. Epic's Going Merry teaser on 24 October ended on the Fortnite and One Piece logos, and the Treasure Hunters mini season is teased for 1 November, according to Endgame Tools. Read our full guide: when does One Piece come to Fortnite?
What we don't know yet
- Which One Piece characters will actually be skins, and whether Buggy and Usopp make the cut.
- Whether they'll be in the Item Shop, a pass, or both, and how much they'll cost.
- Why Jonesy, Hope, Oscar and Cuddle Team Leader are on the posters. They could get One Piece-style outfits, or simply be the "pirates" we play as during Treasure Hunters.
