In short
- The rarest Sprites in Fortnite right now are the two Mythics: Sweet Dreams and Plundarrgh.
- Beebom ranks Sweet Dreams as the rarest, with Plundarrgh second.
- Next come the Legendaries: Lil' Flacko, Fortune Lil' Flacko and Transponder Snail.
- Epic hasn't published drop rates, so any percentage you see online is an estimate.
The rarest Sprite in Fortnite Treasure Hunters is a Mythic, and there are two of them: Sweet Dreams and Plundarrgh. Both sit at the top of the rarity list this season, above the Legendary Lil' Flacko and Transponder Snail. Here's every Sprite in the One Piece season in order of rarity, and how to give yourself the best chance of finding the rare ones.
What is the rarest Sprite in Fortnite right now?
Sweet Dreams. It's one of only two Mythic Sprites this season, and Beebom calls it "the rarest Sprite in Fortnite", ranking it just above Plundarrgh.
Sweet Dreams looks like a sleepy purple pillow covered in stars. It gives you random items as it levels up, according to Game Rant. Unlike most Sprites this season, it has no Fortune or Cursed version.
Plundarrgh is the other Mythic. It's a grinning skull, and it gives you faster movement and pickaxe speed while you open chests. It does have a Fortune version, which is even harder to find.
Is Sweet Dreams or Plundarrgh rarer?
Nobody outside Epic knows for sure. Beebom puts Sweet Dreams first. One site, Royal Arena, claims Plundarrgh is the rarest at about 0.5%, and says that comes from the game files. Epic hasn't confirmed either, and Sprite Checklist still lists every drop rate as "not published yet".
Both are Mythic, so either way you're unlikely to see one often.
Fortnite Sprites rarity list, in order
Here's every Treasure Hunters Sprite from rarest to most common, using each Sprite's rarity tier as listed by Sprite Checklist.
| Rarity | Sprite | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Mythic | Sweet Dreams | Gives you random items as it levels up |
| Mythic | Plundarrgh | Faster movement and pickaxe speed when opening chests |
| Legendary | Lil' Flacko | A shockwave when you land that knocks enemies back |
| Legendary | Transponder Snail | Extra resources when you pick them up, for you and your team |
| Epic | Chester | Chance of extra loot from Treasure Chests, and no fall damage |
| Epic | Exmarks | Shows nearby Treasure Maps and Wanted Posters |
| Epic | Lil' Squibbly | Fishes a Fishing Hole for you when you jump in |
| Epic | Kelper | Heals you over time in water |
| Rare | Halfpeel'd | Marks nearby eliminations on your map |
| Rare | Barry O'Fish | Less sprint stamina drain in water |
| Rare | Re-Pete | Faster reloads, with a chance to refund ammo |
| Rare | Wayfinder | Shows nearby Sprites and gives extra items from Buried Chests |
Each Sprite gets stronger as it levels up, so a fully levelled Sprite does more than these short descriptions say.
Which Sprite variants are the rarest?
Most Sprites also come in rarer versions:
- Fortune Sprites keep their normal ability and reveal nearby chests, according to Epic. Game Rant says the red, ruby-looking Sprite Chests drop Fortune Sprites.
- Cursed Sprites are due on Saturday 7 November, Game Rant reports. They raise your chance of finding rare variants, but water hurts you.
- Gold Sprites are also coming back, but reports disagree on whether that's 12 or 21 November.
Sweet Dreams and Transponder Snail don't have Fortune or Cursed versions, so the base Sprite is the only one to collect.
That makes Fortune Plundarrgh a strong pick for the hardest Sprite to find right now: it's a rarer version of a Mythic.
How do you get the rarest Sprites?
There's no guaranteed way, but these give you the most chances:
- Open Sprite Chests. They always drop a Sprite.
- Tear down Wanted Posters to get a Sprite Treasure Map, then dig up the buried Sprite Chest it shows.
- Open regular chests. They have a small chance of dropping a Sprite.
- Eliminate players who have a rare Sprite equipped. They drop it when they're knocked out.
- Extract your Sprites. You need a Portable Extractor or an Extraction Site to keep them.
When is the best time to look?
Sundays and Mondays. This Sunday's Treasure Hours boost Fortune Sprite variants, and Mastery Monday gives you 2x Sprite XP and 2x Sprite Dust from 9am ET (6am PT, 2pm UK), with more Sprite Chests and Wanted Posters on the island. Read our Treasure Hours guide for the details.

- The real drop rates. Epic hasn't published any.
- Whether Sweet Dreams or Plundarrgh is rarer.
- Exactly when Gold Sprites return.
- Which new Sprites arrive with each Captain, like the Lil' Uzi Vert Sprite Game Rant expects this week.
